Posted by animesempai on 8 days ago
After more than a decade, critically acclaimed horror novelist Koji Suzuki will write a new Ring novel based on his famed lead character, Sadako entitled, "S". This was revealed in a talk in Moscow.
Koji Suzuki
According to Suzuki, the story goes somewhat like "what if Sadako were to emerge from computer screens, what would happen?"
The new novel is set in 2014, after the events of Suzuki’s first Ring novel and its sequel Rasen (Spiral). In the new novel, her curse spreads through cloud computing on the Internet to far-flung locations. Previously, the malevolent spirit Sadako traveled from one victim to another via videotape.
The release date of the new Ring novel is still unknown as of the moment.
The Asahi Shimbun paper is streaming a short video of Suzuki speaking at Moscow.

Watch the 1/1-scale Gundam RX-78-2 come back to life by Kristina Pino, 12/14/2011 |
Ultra cool "Gundam Videographer" has been chronicling the reconstruction of the 1/1-scale Gundam RX-78-2 that originally stood at Odaiba in 2009 and is now back at Tokyo (apparently with no souvenirs for Hiroko, but nonetheless). I don't have much to say on the matter because the videos (plural) really speak for themselves. You could find them after the jump if you so desire! I've got some major props for this guy that took all the video footage. The Gundam itself is an awesome sight, though. It's nice that it's back in Tokyo so more folks could go visit. I saw it back on its opening day in Odaiba and was seriously blown away. I think I would have run away screaming if its leg or arm had begun to move, though. I mean, isn't that a scary thought? Japan building Gundams? It's cool, but damn. I don't know if the world is ready for huge robots. Then again, would the world really ever be ready for huge robots? [via ANN] |
